Carlos Danger visiting Yonkers Monday night

by Frank Drucker, Publicity Director, Empire City at Yonkers Raceway

Yonkers, NY — Sometimes, these stories just write themselves. Carlos Danger is coming to town for Labor Day and — go figure — he finds himself behind the eight-ball.

Carlos Danger drew the far outside position Monday night for Yonkers Raceway’s $15,000 third-race pace.

Carlos Danger, named after the alter ego of American politician Anthony Weiner, drew the far outside position Monday night (Sept. 5) for Yonkers Raceway’s $15,000 third-race pace.

His name notwithstanding, the four-legged Carlos Danger is a bit camera-shy, as in one win in 20 lifetime starts. That victory was here Independence Night, so perhaps he prefers to work holidays.

Carlos Danger is a 3-year-old statebred colt who has been competing primarily in New York Sire Stakes events. Monday’s opposition is considerably easier, so perhaps the 5-1 morning line proposition can get that elusive second photo to send around to his pals.

Through the miracle of modern technology, those wishing to see Carlos Danger in all his glory can do so online at http://empirecitycasino.com/racing/live-video/.

Post time for Monday’s first race is the usual 7:10 p.m., with Carlos Danger racing at approximately 7:50 p.m.
