Bonnie Insko, 82, dies

Columbus, OH — Bonnie Christine Insko, 82, wife of Hall of Fame harness driver Del Insko, died Aug. 25, 2016, in her home, with her husband and family at her side.

She was born April 1, 1934, in Rolph, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Christine (Stephensen) Nelson. She was united in marriage to Delmer Insko on March 26, 1951, in Humboldt, Iowa.

Mrs. Insko was the co-owner of the Del Insko Stables, was for 16 years employed with the Rockton School District and a was a longtime member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Del; children, Delvin (Katherine), Christy (Joe) Taddei and Thomas (Sandra); grandchildren, Jackie, Erik, Andrew, Aaron, Danielle, Joshua, David, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Christy; great-grandchildren, Gemma, Gabriel, Judah, Mercy and Coby; sibling, DeLon “Butch” Nelson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Arlo Nelson.

A “Celebration of Life” was held Sunday (Aug. 28) at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.
