Doug Reed announced full-time pursuit of his consulting practice as principal for Racing, Gaming & Entertainment LLC.

Besides his individual consulting work on numerous projects, Reed has partnered on several large projects in the past. The team is in discussions with several organizations to collaborate on bringing a new demographic to those facilities through the rapidly growing market of video gamers.

Mike Weiss, another longtime racing executive, and Reed are collaborating their efforts to offer services to niche racetracks, fair race meets and multi-use entertainment facilities that may not have the network or continuity of full time racing/entertainment executives to manage the horse racing and entertainment operations and grow the business.

“I look forward to utilizing my background as a customer, racing executive and director of the school of racing in a new way to hopefully unfreeze the old model of the business and facilitate business experimentation and change,” says Reed.
