Margin Call scores third straight win at Running Aces

Columbus, MN — In the Tuesday night (June 21) feature at Running Aces, Margin Call ($4.20) trotted to his third consecutive win, stopping the clock in 1:57.1 to post a new lifetime mark.

The talented 5-year-old gelding by Revenue S, out of the Muscles Yankee mare Caffeine Freak, is owned by Mikaela Delguidice and trained and driven by Rick Magee. Tuesday night’s win was his 11th career tally in 32 lifetime starts and pushed his career bankroll to $33,454.

The classy roan-colored gelding Greybeard ($15.00) picked up his first win of the year, in his fourth seasonal start, charging home up the inside from the pocket trip to just beat Gravelsinmytravel (Steve Wiseman) by a neck at the wire in 1:55.1. Greybeard is owned by Jack Detgen and trained and driven by Brian Detgen. He now sports 20 lifetime wins and $61,738.

Brian Detgen completed a double by scoring in the next race with General Time ($7.80) for trainer/owner Dale Lagerquist.

Driver Gerald Longo posted a driving triple on the Tuesday night card, scoring the early double races with French Eclipse ($3.20) and Place’n First ($7.00), both owned and trained by Jenni King. Longo then scored in race eight with Whatchastarinat ($11.60) for trainer Gene Miller to complete the hat trick.

The next card of live harness racing at Running Aces Casino & Racetrack will go to post on Saturday night (June 25) at 6 p.m. (CDT).
