Chester, PA — There were four divisions of Pennsylvania Stallion Series races for 3-year-old colt and gelding pacers on Thursday (June 16) at Harrah’s Philadelphia. They each went for a purse of $20,000.

In the first division, it was the Lone Wolf Stable’s Rip This Joint (Yannick Gingras) going all the way. The gelded son of Western Terror won for the sixth time in his career out of 20 starts. The Mike Palone trainee has now won four of his last five races. He accomplished the task in 1:53.4.

In division two, the heavily favored Power Of A Cruiser (Tim Tetrick) did not disappoint. The gelded son of Yankee Cruiser has also been on a roll, winning each of his last four races. He stopped the clock in 1:53.2. He is owned by Michael Horsey and trained by Les Givens.

There was a big upset in the third division, as He’s Marvalous (Brett Miller) overcame post eight to win at 27-1. The gelded son of Delmarvalous won for the first time this season, in a time of 1:53.4. He is owned by Badlands Racing and L A Express Stables, and is trained by Mike Hall.

The fourth and final division was won by Doubleshottahott. The gelded son of Dragon Again followed up his convincing 12 length win five days ago with an in-hand victory in 1:53.1. He is owned by Tom Leager and trainer Eric Ell. It was one of four wins on the day for driver David Miller.

There will be a Pick-4 carryover into Friday’s (June 17) program of just over $2,100. The Pick-4 starts in race number seven. Post time for the opener is 12:40 p.m.
