Photographers, TV cameras, reporters and more than 1,000 people were at Norrköping Airport Monday night (May 23).

Resolve arrived in Sweden on Monday. He will race in Sunday’s Elitlopp.

Because a Boeing 747 from the United States carrying five trotters — among them Hambletonian winner Pinkman and Elitlopp-bound Resolve — landed at 10:47 p.m.

Well, it was not because of the four-legged stars that so many people turned up, but because it was the first time a Boeing 747 landed at Norrköping, but harness racing definitely got some extra coverage.

Pinkman is going to race in the 4-year-old Elite and will have the services of driver Yannick Gingras.

Gingras will also race on Saturday, as well as Sunday, in a total of nine races.

Ake Svanstedt, who will drive Resolve in the Elitlopp, will also race Saturday and Sunday and drive a total of eight races.

Besides Pinkman and Resolve, Opulent Yankee and Lindy’s On Fire were on the plane.

Opulent Yankee will race in the Sweden Cup Saturday afternoon and will have Svanstedt in the bike, while Lindy’s On Fire with Gingras will race Sunday in a race for 3-year-old fillies.
