Tucson, AZ — The School of Animal and Comparative Biomedical Sciences in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences seeks an outstanding candidate for the faculty position of Director and Lecturer, Race Track Industry Program, Non-Tenure Track.

This position reports to the Director of ACBS. Work involves directing the program’s strategic plan forward. Expected outcomes/goals include implementing a successful “Global Symposium on Racing & Gaming” each year, the industry’s largest conference, and maintaining the revenues associated with this event.

The Director ensures the financial security of the program through effective fund raising and prudent operational management. This position oversees existing programs as well as identifying future opportunities to expand the academic programs available for students and service projects for the industry.

Additionally, the RTIP Director will oversee development of a new online teaching program leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Race Track Management.

The position shares teaching load with the two associate coordinators of the program as well as other department faculty members. The Director keeps the curriculum current with industry trends and employer’s needs. The position is responsible for the overall administration of the program, is a member of the graduate committee and graduate student adviser.
