Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, April 16, 2016

Last night I had six winners on top, but in the eighth one of the horses I used in the Pick-4 broke, and John Campbell stole the race with a smart drive on a longshot. My $9 ticket lost. Meet record on Pick 4s: Standard ticket: 22 plays, four wins for $420.25 total. Bottom line for meet, +$147.80; Whale ticket: two plays, -$92.00

Standard ticket: 50-cent play: 23/239/15/2358 = $24
Whale ticket: 50-cent play: none

Analysis:

Race 7: (2) Always At My Place looks like a legit favorite here but I’m also using the consistent (3) Pansformative.

Race 8: (2) Four Starzzzz Z is better than last, (3) Piece Of The Rock is in good form, and I’m also using (9) All Fired Up, a Yonkers shipper that has been facing faster.

Race 9: (5) Moonlight Ransom is going to be a single on some tickets as he drops to the bottom, gets the leading driver, and seems the fastest. But he doesn’t win often so I threw in (1) Get Outta Eyre N, who was used hard to the lead from post nine two back and just missed.

Race 10: This is a tough race of lightly raced 3-year-olds. I used all four of my listed contenders, 2, 3, 5, 8.
