Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, April 2, 2016

I had three of four on my Whale Ticket last night, but there was a scratch which reduced my ticket to $12. Meet record on Pick-4s, Standard Ticket: 18 plays, four wins for $420.25 total. Bottom line for meet, +$262.80. Whale Ticket: two plays, -$92.00

Standard Ticket: 50-cent play: 1346/459/79/459 = $36
Whale Ticket: 50-cent cent play: none

Analysis:

Race 7: We start off with a strong pace that is pretty wide open. I used four horses here, 1, 3, 4, 6. Some people may single (4) Odds On Equuleus, who needed last.

Race 8: Pretty tough race. (4) Pop Icon doesn’t have a lot of class but if he duplicates his last race he has a shot here. (5) Respectable Dream and (9) David The Saint are both Yonkers shippers dropping in class and a few of these Yonkers shippers won last night.

Race 9: (7) Invictus Hanover is an obvious choice here but I also used (9) J Eagle Feather, a horse that showed ability last year and returns for good layoff barn.

Race 10: I used my top three contenders here, 4, 5, 9. (5) Gratias Deo is the obvious choice but not that reliable.
