East Rutherford, NJ — It is no April Fool’s joke — one lucky horseplayer took down the Jackpot Super High Five at the Meadowlands Friday night for $20,354.78 for a 20-cent wager. The winning ticket was purchased through 4NJBets.com.

The wager featured a carryover of more than $12,000 coming into Friday night. The race five winning sequence featured 8-1 winner Buoncammino followed by 16-1 Kitti Place, 16-1 Artistic Gussie, 51-1 Gimmesomeroom and 65-1 Artic Byrd for fifth. The 3-5 favorite KJ’s Caroline finished ninth.

Nobody has hit the Jackpot Super High Five at the Meadowlands since Feb. 20 when the wager was hit for more than $39,000.

Another Jackpot Super High Five wager on the final race of the evening has proven difficult to take down. Its carryover is more than $154,000 entering tonight.
