Another successful OSAS stallion auction

Campbellville, ON — The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society extends sincere appreciation to all who contributed to this year’s stallion auction, one of the top fundraisers for the organization each year.

Services for 15 Ontario-based stallions were generously donated by stallion owners and farms and breeders had the opportunity to bid on each throughout last week. The successful bidders have all been contacted. We appreciate everyone who took the time to bid and wish them all the best of luck with the subsequent foals.

OSAS, founded two decades ago, is the recognized adoption program for harness horses in Ontario and all of the proceeds of the stallion auction go towards caring, training and rehoming these wonderful animals.

“We at Seelster Farms always encourage our stallion owners to support the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society. It’s a win, win, win for everyone involved — this very worthwhile charity receives the funds it needs to place retired Standardbreds, the stallion owners are recognized for their contributions and the public sees our industry caring for our horses for their entire lives,” noted Ann Straatman, the Reproduction Manager at Seelster which has been a strong supporter of OSAS for many years.

Services to all seven of Seelster’s stallions, Sunshine Beach, Wheeling N Dealin, Thinking Out Loud, Prestidigitator, Big Jim, Holiday Road and Justice Hall were offered in this year’s auction thanks to their owners.
