Nandi Veterinary Associates announce innovative new breeding program

from Nandi Veterinary Associates

New Freedom, PA — Nandi Veterinary Associates is proud to announce an innovative new program allowing breeders to book their mares to a top-ranked sire for free.

In lieu of paying any stud fees, the mare owner will assign all resulting breeders awards to the stallion owner.

In Pennsylvania, where stud fees can cost breeders as much as $20,000 each, this is truly a unique opportunity.

It is the goal of Nandi Farm, and of the stallion owner, to allow owners of mares not in service to breed these mares with decreased financial risk. This program is an opportunity to help reverse the trend of declining foal crops.

More foals on the ground will mean more work for veterinarians, farriers, trainers, and drivers. And now, with this opportunity, those foals will come with no stud fee to breeders.

Nandi Farm and the stallion owner are happy to be able to launch this new breeders program with a stallion that has been proven consistently. With his performance at the sales and the track, this is the chance for breeders to find that “golden cross.”

Western Terror has produced 10 world champions, many of them winners of more than $1 million. He is the sire of 317 in 1:55 and 25 in 1:50.

The winning bloodlines run deep. By the champion sire Western Hanover, he is from the Artsplace race mare Arterra p,2,1:53.4 ($161,976). In addition to Western Terror, Arterra has also produced If I Can Dream p,3,1:49.4f ($1,990,276).

If breeders do not want to take advantage of this opportunity, the 2016 stud fee is $5,000 with multiple mare discounts available.

With the changes occurring in our industry, it is time to think outside the box. We look forward to seeing the positive effects that this new program will have across our industry.
