Washington, PA — Coffee Addict outdueled Medusa in the stretch to score a narrow victory in Monday’s (Feb. 1) $22,500 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Hammered down to 1-2, Coffee Addict retook the lead for Jim Pantaleano past the quarter and enjoyed a much-needed :29.1 second panel breather. That served her well late, when she was able to hold off the first-over Medusa by a nose in 1:52.4. Early leader Tipitina saved show.
