Can I Say was a 1:55.4 winner in the $18,000 Open Trot.

The Doug Berkeley-trained trotter went wire-to-wire in the $18,000 feature in 1:55.4.

Bruce Aldrich Jr. piloted the mare Can I Say, who beat the boys as the race’s 2-5 favorite in the wagering. Longshot invader Gwally (Austin Siegelman) got the pocket ride behind the winner and held strong for second while last week’s Open winner Stirling Cadet (Frank Coppola Jr.) came on for third.

Can I Say has now won three of her last four local starts with a second place finish sandwiched between her victories.

Live racing resumes on Thursday as the racing season enters its final week. First post time on Thursday is set for 4 p.m.
