Dover, DE — The Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund 2-year-old filly trot moved into second leg preliminary action with Cicada’s Song and Miss Baltimore posting wins on Monday (Nov. 16) at Dover Downs.

After being scratched from last week’s prelim, Cicada’s Song continued her winning ways, collecting her sixth victory in seven career races, romping to a 2:01.2 victory in the DSBF 2nd preliminary week.

Carlo Poliseno trains and drives the Dusty Winner-Koala Kat filly for owner Jane Dunavant. Last month, after sweeping her Virginia stakes and previous DSBF prelims, she broke stride early as favorite in the $100,000 Harrington final, her only loss. The filly has earned $60,845 in purses.

Princess Politics (Wayne Long) was second with Unshakeable Peace (Eddie Dennis) third.

Miss Baltimore (Tony Morgan) recorded her second straight DSBF prelim win, notching a 2:03 triumph. Don Marine owns the Master Lavec-Country Inn filly trained by Kyle Moore. Triple Bottom Line (Jeff Fout) closed strong, but broke stride nearing the finish line and finished second. Devlin (Poliseno) finished third.

The top eight point-getters after the two prelims will race in the $100,000 DSBF final.

The $18,000 Open topped the regular portion of the program. Tim Tetrick pulled Little Ben out of fourth on the final turn and wore down leader Remember Me VK (Montrell Teague) in the stretch to go on for a lifetime mark, 1:49.3 victory. Shiretown Pitbull (Sean Bier) closed in a hurry to edge fast finishing Captive Audience (Corey Callahan) along the passing lane for second.

A second 1:49.3 winner was Kovach Stables’ Feel Like A Fool, piloted by Corey Callahan in a $12,000 male pace. Rock N Roll Jet (Art Stafford Jr.) was next. Mustang Art (Brett Miller) was the show horse.

Tim Tetrick had three winners, Sean Bier and Ross Wolfenden had doubles.
