David Errol Baird, 76, dies

Columbus, OH — David Errol Baird, 76, died peacefully at home in Findlay, Ohio, surrounded by his family on Oct. 19, 2015.

He was born Aug. 8, 1939, to the late David J. and Maxine G. (Evans) Baird in Findlay. He married Lorena (DeeDee Wright) Baird on June 25, 1957 and they divorced in 1977. He later married Brenda (Dysert) Baird and they divorced in 1987.

Mr. Baird was a member of the USTA for many years. He trained and raced Standardbreds. He was also a farmer in Northwestern Ohio and Michigan.

He attended Eagleville Church of Christ for many years and was an auxiliary member of North Baltimore American Legion Post 539. He graduated from Bloomdale High School in 1957. He worked for Baird Excavating and Masonry for 20 years.

Mr. Baird is survived by his children, Deidre (Kurt) Baird Ramthun, Dawn Baird Snyder, David W., Douglas (Karen), Daniel (Cinda), Darrell (Amy) and Amy L. (Jason) Baird Amos; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday (Oct. 22) from 4–7 p.m. at Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419.422.1500). Private graveside service will be in Weaver Cemetery with Pastor Will Miller to officiate.
