Yonkers/SOA of NY offer guidance for Saturday’s 75G guaranteed Pick-5

by Frank Drucker, publicity director, Empire City at Yonkers Raceway

Yonkers, NY — Doing their part to make sure no handicapperhas to go it alone, Yonkers Raceway and the Standardbred Owners Association ofNew York present some assistance toward taking down Saturday afternoon’sInternational Trot program special $75,000 guaranteed pool Pick-5 wager.

The guidance comes courtesy of the Hilltop Helper, a veryuseful (and gratis) handicapping sheet which is distributed on-track everySaturday as well as sent to the all Empire City Bets members and available at www.soaofny.com.

The Helper’s analysis accompanies this release and hascompiled a $36 ticket for the 50 cent base wager.

Again, some notes regarding Saturday’s special gimmickwager…

–it includes $25,000 of “seed money”;

–it encompasses races 2 through 6 on the 13-race card(usual-Pick 5 sequence is races seven through 11).

–first post is 2 p.m., with the $1 million, 10-horseInternational scheduled as the fourth race (approximate post 3:10 p.m.).

–though additional monies may be carried over should thePick-5 not be hit Friday night, Saturday’s total guaranteed pool remains at$75,000;

–as always, the Pick-5 is not a “must-pay” wager, so if noone selects all five winners in the sequence, the entire pool (minus takeout)would move to the Monday, Oct. 12, program;

–program pages for this wager are available at www.yonkersraceway.com.

Again, please note the International is part of a matineecard, with first post at 2 p.m. and the race itself going at approximately 3:10p.m.. Also note that a superfecta has been added to the International Trotwagering menu.
