Ken Kam makes successful 2015 Harrington debut

by Matt Sparacino

Harrington, DE — Ronald Dixon’s Ken Kam (Tony Morgan, $9) ended his half-mile racetrack hiatus and was a 1:52.2 winner in the $12,500 Open II feature at Harrington Raceway Monday (August 31).

Trained by Dixon, Ken Kam, a 6-year-old ridgling sired by Cancun Hanover, overpowered pacesetter SB Mikes Hot Beach and held off a cavalry charge to the wire for a narrow win over Leyden and Special T Rocks. Trained by his owner, Ken Kam is the richest son of his sire Cancun Hanover. Ken Kam had not raced at Harrington or any half-mile racetrack since his sophomore season in 2012.

Montrell Teague, George Dennis, Allan Davis and Pat Berry each had a driving double.
