Columbus, OH — Richard H. Scott, 64, of Cookeville, Tenn., died Aug. 9, 2015, at his home.

Mr. Scott was born Sept. 15, 1950, in Cookeville, the son of Beatrice (Madewell) Scott and the late Billy Scott.

He spent most of his life traveling and training Standardbreds, which was an expertise that he was well known for all over the eastern United States, having many winning horses.

He was a loving son, brother, and friend and a wonderful gourmet cook.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his sister, Barbara; nephew, Shaun; and great-nephews, Hayden and Collen Lewis.
