James “Doug” Lough, 56, dies

Columbus, OH — James “Doug” Lough, 56, of Springfield, Ohio, died July 2, 2015, in his home.

He was born June 28, 1959, in Springfield. He was a 1977 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Urbana University where he earned his bachelor of science degree.

He enjoyed running and golfing, but his true passion was training and racing Standardbreds.

He is survived by his parents, James and Linda (Moore); his longtime companion, Beccy Killman; brother, David (Amy); nephew, Tylor; nieces, Alli and Taylor Bond; and great-nephews, Alec Bond and Jett Stratton. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday (July 8) at the Skillman, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, with Pastor Dan Leiker officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.vernonfh.com.
