Live foal/no foal reporting now available

from the United States Trotting Association

Columbus, OH — The USTA is now receiving live foal/no foal reporting from breeding farms and broodmare owners for the 2014 breeding season/2015 foaling season.

Breeders can fill out this form, which has room to list multiple mares at once, as opposed to completing the foal registration application for unregistrable foals for each mare. Per USTA rule 26.2, the owner of any mare bred must report prior to Dec. 31 of the supposed foaling year if the mare was barren, foaled a dead foal, foaled a live foal which subsequently died, aborted or otherwise.

When breeders select the “Live Foal” column in this new report, it will also aid the USTA in anticipating the number of foal registrations coming into the office, as well as compiling complete information for dam breeding reports in a timely fashion.

The live foal/no foal report is available as a fillable form PDF, which allows for complete electronic submission. It is also available to print, fill out and mail or fax in. Click here for the live foal/no foal reporting form.
