Pompano Beach, FL — Mary Davis, 67, who was the maître d at the Top of the Park Restaurant and an employee at the Isle Pompano Park, died Dec. 23, 2014.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, she came to the United States nearly 25 years ago and worked all that time at Pompano Park. She had been married to Pompano/Saratoga horseman Emmett “Jeb” Davis for nearly 23 years.

Mrs. Davis was so well liked and known by everyone. She wore many hats in the food and beverage department and never turned down a request for help.

There will be an “Irish Wake” hosted by her family on Thursday (Jan. 15) at the Golf View Estates Clubhouse at 901 NW 31st St. in Pompano Beach from 6-9 p.m. Everyone is invited to bid Mary farewell as she would like you to do. All who knew Mary are welcome.

Then on Sunday (Jan. 18) there will be a special memorial race in Mary’s name and everyone is invited to come out and be part of the winner’s circle presentation.

Cremated per her request, after this week’s services her ashes will be taken back to Ireland.
