Equine book authors in Delray Beach

Delray Beach, FL — On Thursday (Dec. 18), three recent equine book authors will be speaking about their novels at Sunshine Meadows Equestrian Village as part of the facilities meet & greet program.

Starting at 1:30 p.m. at Gigi’s Cantina in the Clubhouse section will be authors Victoria Howard, Billy Haughton and David Mallegol. Admission and parking are free plus food and beverages will be available.

Howard and Haughton, along with Fred Hudson, authored Roosevelt Raceway – Where it all began which will be available in book stores at the end of month. They will have a limited number of the book available at this event. The book features not only the history of the world renowned racetrack in Long Island, N.Y., but also covers many of the scandals that took place over the years.

Victoria Howard has also penned a new children’s harness racing book called The Adventures of Max & Molly that she will talk about so children are more than welcome to attend.

Harness racing fans will also get to meet a living legend from the Roosevelt Raceway era as world renowned driver/trainer Lucien Fontaine will be at the meet & greet.

The third author is Palm Beach Garden’s resident David Mallegol. He has just completed his second fictional novel in a series entitled The Bronze Horsemen that historically talks about the first humans to domesticate wild horses, the lives they led and how it changed the world for thousands of years to come.
