Millstone Township, NJ — Because the mission of the Standardbred Retirement Foundation is unique, it is providing full care for 198 Standardbreds, 125 unattractive to adopters due to age or injury.

Finding homes and following up for life is the goal for every horse but many need life in pasture due to chronic or acute injuries, or are old campaigners who have served well and need a dignified retirement. This is why SRF has pastures full of trotters and pacers like Fly Like An Eagle; Duke Of Earl, AJ’s Send The Money and Jerry’s Brown Gold.

SRF needs your holiday help and asks you to be part of its 12 Days of Giving Campaign. Please make this season special by wrapping up a much-needed gift for the horses that have made your seasons bright. Twelve gifts is all it takes; here are 12 different ways to help or you may choose to give through a tax-deductible gift in any amount and fill some or all of our needs.

• 12-120 bails of hay: $78-$780
• Transportation and quarantine for one tagged for slaughter horse: $500
• A home for one horse in need to live out its life in pasture: priceless
• A visit from the dentist for 1-12 or more: $50 each
• The tack room/office insulated and heated: $750
• Rehabilitation care for one rescue horse: $400
