Breeding donations sought for SRF

from the Standardbred Retirement Foundation

Millstone Township, NJ — The Standardbred Retirement Foundation’s most important and consistent source of funding from within the industry comes from yearly and lifetime breeding donations. Donors often include breedings in their gift giving to SRF as they serve well as a substitute for cash gifts.

SRF is asking for donations of much needed breedings to help provide care, boarding, feeding, veterinary, farrier, dental, worming, rehabilitation, and re-training for 190-plus Standardbreds, of which 117 are unadoptable due to age and/or injury.

Donations, which are tax-deductible, are gratefully received and are sold directly, not auctioned, to protect the value of the stallion.

This is SRF’s 25th year as the only organization of its kind solely dedicated to the Standardbred breed providing full care for horses when adoption is not possible, and following those adopted diligently for life. SRF has served thousands of Standardbreds, and helped hundreds of children through its award winning programs.

In addition to the 190-plus horses in its care, SRF has a waiting list of horses hoping to come into the program, but the lack of funds has the list growing. Breeding donations, and SRF’s sale of such gifts, make a substantial difference.

To donate or purchase a breeding please contact Tammy Hollack at 732.446.4422 or e-mail admin@srfmail.com.

SRF is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization; gifts to SRF are tax-deductible.
