Wilkes-Barre, PA — Driver George Napolitano Jr. was injured in an accident during a race at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Wednesday night (Nov. 5). Napolitano, Pocono’s leading driver once again this year, was driving Waltzacrossthewire in the seventh race when Southwind Terror broke stride in front of them on the back stretch. Napolitano was dumped to the track as his horse tried to avoid the breaking horse.

Napolitano was taken off the track by ambulance to a local hospital. No word on his condition was available directly after the race.
