Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association celebrates 30 years at the Jug

from the Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association

Salem, NH — Come and celebrate 30 years with the Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association at a Prayer Breakfast on Wednesday (Sept. 17), Jugette Day, at 6:30 a.m.

Join with other Christian horsemen and women and harness racing enthusiasts as they give thanks to God for 30 years of blessings. There is no cost for the event and it is open to everyone.

The Buckeye Valley Boosters will provide a full breakfast in their building, #14, at the Delaware Fairgrounds located between the track and the Coliseum where the horse sales are held. Pastor Samuel Forshtay and members of his praise and worship team will provide the music.

The Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association was established in 1983 to serve Jesus Christ in harness racing. Weldon Stockwell of Sunbury, Ohio, led the organization as Executive Director for the first 27 years. On Jan. 1, 2011, Weldon passed the reigns to Chaplain Lee Alphen of Salem, N.H.

CHHA is a growing network of Christians associated with harness racing who feel harness racing is a magnificent sport. Chaplain Lee prays for all our members daily. Members receive a free monthly newsletter. The organization strives to “Keep Christ Alive in Harness Racing.”
