Wallkill, NY — Chucaro Acero Blue Chip, a 3-year-old son of Shadow Play, was victorious in the elimination and final of the Nacional Cup at the Hipodromo de Cintra in Cordoba province, Argentina.

He won the race in 1:56.2f and is undefeated in 15 lifetime starts.

His mother, Animals Can Sing, was exported, in foal, with Chucaro Acero Blue Chip by Argentinean breeder/owner Haras El Ceibo and Blue Chip Bloodstock of Wallkill, N.Y.

Due to the difference in breeding seasons between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, he is racing against 3-year-olds that are about six months older.

Harness racing began in Argentina in 1910, and has gained increasing popularity in the last 10 years.
