Do Me Honor digs in, takes Meadows feature

Washington, PA — Headed approaching the final turn, Do Me Honor dug deep to reclaim the lead and capture Monday’s $15,000 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred Pace at The Meadows.

Do Me Honor seized the lead with a quarter-pole move but yielded, ever so briefly, to the strong first-over bid of Ladystar. The game Do M Honor reasserted for Aaron Merriman and scored in 1:52.4, a head better than the rallying Shucked. Ladystar saved show.

Bill Bercury trains and owns Do Me Honor, a 6-year-old daughter of Cheyenne Rei-Do Me Right who has won 16 races over the last two seasons and $446,248 in her career.

Merriman drove five winners on the 15-race card while Brian Zendt enjoyed a training/driving double.
