Wilkes-Barre, PA — The fourth leg of the GSY Amateur Trotting Series took place at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Sunday evening (May 18).

The race started out with Robert Hechkoff behind Tagmaster gunning from post six for the lead and took all nine participants by a :27.4 clip.

He held the lead until the top of the stretch and that is when the field swept in, including some of the closers that included Mike Mitchell, piloting B L Class Act. Mitchell used some adept driving and the passing lane to pull out a head victory over David Offenberg behind Whatnblazes, who sat second the entire race and just missed out on the victory. Browner Shuttle with Robert Krivelin, who was assigned post nine, closed from well out of it to finish a respectable third. The mile went in 1:57.2.

The fifth leg will be contested next Saturday at Tioga Downs.
