The connections of Caballion celebrate in the winner’s circle.

Driver Johnny Takter, who replaced David Miller, directed Uncle Peter to the front after the first half-mile. With five-eighths of a mile to go, the Swedish trotter Caballion, with Bjorn Goop in the bike, came up on the outside and going into the stretch Uncle Peter faded and Caballion took over.

Though he became rough gaited down the stretch, Bjorn Goop managed to keep Caballion together and won the 1-1/4 mile event in 1:55.4f, followed by the fast finishing Danish trotter Orali, driven by Jeppe Juel.

Uncle Peter finished fifth and was timed in 1:56.2 (mile rate).

Jimmy Takter also raced Corky with Johnny Takter in the bike. Corky finished fourth in a race for 4-year-old trotters, which was won by the very impressive Danish trotter Tano Bork (sired by Great Challenger), who won by open lengths.
