Washington, PA — For the first time since 2008, The Meadows Racetrack & Casino will offer live racing on each Saturday of the Thoroughbred Triple Crown, beginning with the May 3 Kentucky Derby. This Saturday’s card, which begins at 11:25 AM, features a $200,000 (est.) Pennsylvania Sires Stake for 3-year-old filly pacers. Advance wagering for the Kentucky Derby begins Friday.

The track is reviving live cards on Triple Crown Saturdays to create exciting, memorable celebrations of racing. To enhance the festivities, The Meadows will offer a number of special Derby Day activities, including:

· – The Miss Adios Swimsuit USA preliminary competition at 3:00 PM (on track);

· – The annual Derby Day Hat Contest at each location;

· – Live music and Coors specials at each location. Featured performers are NoMad (on track), Da Phunk (Harmar), and Dallas Marks (New Castle).
