Sutton wins five once again at Northfield

Northfield, OH — Josh Sutton posted five winners on Thursday night (March 20) at Northfield Park, the second consecutive program that he accomplished that feat.

Up Front Kellie Jo was one of five winners for driver Josh Sutton.

His biggest victory came behind Up Front Kellie Jo, who was victorious in the $9,500 Fillies and Mares Open Pace in Northfield Park’s fifth race. She is trained by Rob Harmon for owners C. Ed Mullinax and Mark Ford.

Up Front Kellie Jo (Bettor’s Delight-Life’s Highway) started from post six and was content being mid-pack while her competition carved out fractions of :27.2, :55.3 and 1:25. Sutton called upon Up Front Kellie Jo in the final quarter and she surged to the lead and bested her competition by two lengths in 1:55.2. Completing the race were Clear Character, Y Mach Me, It Must Be Magic, Canaco Star, Power Everywhere and Women Rule.

Thursday’s win was the 40th career victory for Up Front Kellie Jo and increased her lifetime earnings to $831,347. She was an upset winner and returned $22.40 to win.

Sutton also posted victories with Alhambra Bokay ($4.80) in race six, Bluebird Jettart ($14.20) in race nine, Braggin Hanover ($10.80) in race 10 and Doowrah Double ($17.00) in race 11.
