Fool Like A Fool won the Delaware Special on Thursday at Dover Downs in 1:51.

George Dennis piloted Kovach Stables’ Feel Like A Fool to his first win of 2014 coming from off-the-pace to score a 1:51 triumph in this week’s feature pace.

Mustang Art (Ron Pierce) rolled away to take a fast early lead in :26 and continued to lead until deep stretch when the Bobby Clark-trainee, Feel Like A Fool, an Art Major-Fool That I Am gelding, came on to edge People Are Crazy (Vic Kirby) for the win. Mustang Art held on for third.

The Meadows
Daylon Miracle found the pocket early, then brushed by the leader in the lane to capture Thursday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows. Daylon Miracle was content to let Magic Wheel set the fractions on the sloppy, tiring surface. But when Aaron Merriman cut her loose late, she easily kicked past the game Magic Wheel and downed her by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:57.3. Mistress Valentine was a good third from post 9. Bill Bercury owns and trains Daylon Miracle, a 5-year-old daughter of Pegasus-Spur-Daylon Marvel who now boasts $266,503 in career earnings. Merriman drove four winners and Mike Wilder three on the 15-race card.

Northfield Park
Y Mach Me captured the $9,500 Fillies and Mares Open Pace on Thursday (February 20) in Northfield Park’s third race. She is trained by Pat Karcher for owner Lucky Draw Racing Stable of Carey, Ohio. Ronnie Wrenn Jr. was aboard for the winning drive. Y Mach Me (Mach Three-Sunnie Corleone-Pacific Rocket) started from post four and was fourth through initial fractions of :28.2 and :59.1. Wrenn made his move in the third panel and was second through the 1:29.2 three-quarters. Y Mach Me struck the front in the final turn and bested her competition by 2 lengths in 1:57.4 over a sloppy surface. Completing the race were Canaco Star, Shes Glorious, Eradikate, Crazy Luv Bug, Miss Two Punch and Special Lady D. Thursday’s win was the 10 career victory for Y Mach Me and increased her bankroll to $50,054. She returned $5.80 to win.
