Manalapan, NJ — Longtime New Jersey horseman Louis Joseph Telymonde, 78, died Dec. 3, 2013.

He was born in Elizabeth, N.J., on Oct. 7, 1935, to Andrew and Alice Telymonde.

Mr. Telymonde was a Standardbred trainer-driver as well as an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Phyllis; children, Lesa Colvin, Tina Scarpulla, Hope Ogden, Matthew Redler, Kenneth Redler and Denise Schulte; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Andrew and Alphonse; and a sister, Pamela King. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas.

A memorial service will be held Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, located at 885 Mantoloking Rd., Brick, N.J.
