Monticello announces December live racing schedule

by John Manzi, publicity director, Monticello Raceway

Monticello, NY — During the month of December there will be several changes in the live racing schedule at Monticello Raceway.

The schedule during the first three weeks in December remains the same as always, with live harness action on the afternoons of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Then there are added days on Friday (Dec. 20), Sunday (Dec. 22) and Friday (Dec. 27), which means the track will offer 19 days with live racing during the month.

The Sunday (Dec. 22) afternoon race card was added to coincide with the Horsemen’s Holiday Party.

There will be no racing on Tuesday (Dec. 24) or on Christmas Day (Wednesday, Dec. 25).

All post times in December will be at 12:25 p.m.

Special events during December include the Ronnie Wrenn, Jr.–Bruce Aldrich, Jr. Drive-Off on Thursday (Dec. 12) and the Heritage Drivers Series Final — dubbed the All-America Cup — on Thursday (Dec. 19). The Au Revoir, for 14-year-olds only, will be presented on Monday (Dec. 30).
