SRF to offer Prix d’Amerique trip raffle

from the Standardbred Retirement Foundation

Millstone Twp, NJ — The celebrated Prix d’Amerique in Vincennes, France, one of harness racing’s most prestigious events, is a dream destination for those who love the sport of harness racing.

Offered through an annual raffle to benefit the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, last year’s winner, Linda Toscano, trainer of Chapter Seven and Market Share, raved, “It is a “must go to” trip!”

This fabulous trip begins with an airfare voucher valued to $1,800 and includes a five day–four night stay for two at a 4-star hotel in the heart of the Montmartre district in Paris. A welcoming “City of Lights” tour, a three-course French cuisine dinner, a tour of the Grobois Training Centre, entrance to the great Prix d’Amerique race and more are included.

Raffle tickets are $25 each and funds raised will be used to provide hay and grain, medical and farrier care, rehabilitation, vaccinations, and other related needs for more than 180 Standardbreds currently in SRF’s care. More than half of these horses are unadoptable due to age or injury and are under the full care and expense of SRF for the rest of their lives.

Tickets should have arrived by mail to all of SRF’s supporters and are also available for purchase by contacting admin@srfmail.com, or by phone at 732.446.4422. The winning ticket will be drawn at Showplace Farms in Millstone, N.J., on Dec. 13 at 12 noon; the winner does not need to be present.

Help with selling tickets is also much appreciated. Please use the contact information noted.

Nearing its 25th year, SRF is the only organization solely dedicated to the Standardbred breed that provides full care for its horses for life if age or injuries prevent adoption.
