Indianapolis, IN — The Indiana Standardbred Hall of Fame is seeking applications for nominees to be inducted for the year 2013. Applications for nominations are due December 1, 2013 and can be obtained by visiting www.indianaharness.com, or by contacting Jessica Barnes at (317) 233-3120 or via e-mail at jbarnes@hrc.in.gov.

Human and equine nominees should have contributed significantly to Indiana harness racing or achieved national prominence and possess significant Indiana attachments. In order to be considered, please remember to thoroughly complete the application.

In addition, after several years of inactivity, the Indiana Standardbred Hall of Fame has recently undergone a re-organization in an effort to revitalize this organization. Newly elected officers and directors include; Jessica Barnes – Chairman, Rick Moore – Vice-Chairman, James Platz – Secretary/Treasurer, and Directors Suzy Askren, Margaret Davidson, Jack Kieninger, Mike McDaniel and Barbara Wilfong.

“I am very excited to see this organization becoming active again. We are fortunate to have an excellent board of Directors to mobilize the mission of the Indiana Standardbred Hall of Fame. I believe we will see many new and exciting endeavors in the future from this organization,” stated Jessica Barnes, Indiana Standardbred Hall of Fame Chairman.
