Balmoral Park Pick-4, Races 10-13, Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013

$1 play: 2467/358/48/610 = $48

Analysis:

Race 10: (4) St David Hanover left well for position through :27.2 quarter, elected to sit in as pace slowed, was bottled up looking for room the entire stretch while appearing to have some pace. Two back had tough overland trip from nine hole, finished evenly through scorching :26.2 final panel of 1:50.2 mile. Gets driver switch to Warren and appears on edge. (7) Crankin It Up takes on older while in career best form and appears to have a big shot here. (2) Bet On Him has been lightly raced in 2013 after facing Invitational company a year ago. Had a confidence builder last week, blasting home in :26.4 to easily beat lesser and may be heading in the right direction. (6) Dabestleaderever may have disliked the slop in latest after a strong speed try from seven hole two back and in chasing 1:49.4 and 1:50 miles against better prior. Dangerous on best.

Race 11: (8) Lima Calliope has had slow fractions to close off of in last three Balmoral tries, finishing with sub-:27 final quarters in each. Mare drops to more competitive level and hopefully gets some quicker early numbers to close off. (5) Windsun Montecarlo also takes key drop to level she’s been consistent at and figures to be riding live cover. (3) No Respect was a strong winner in stakes consolation last time and should be tough with anything close to that effort.

Race 12: (8) Rev Me Up is a classy type that drops out of stakes company and shows two strong engine tries against better than these prior. Picks up pilot who has shown his abilities already since arriving in the Midwest and can surprise. (4) Dee Dee Sage is the other with a class edge in here. Drops out of stakes company as well and is more than capable of handling this level on best.

Race 13: (6) Boi comes off much improved try, finishing behind much the best winner after pacing a :54 final half while overmatched two back in first start since July. Retains “Double O” and looks best. (10) Shiswells Delight was overloaded with late pace but ran out of real estate last time. Draws 10 hole but switches to Dave who may try leaving for a spot.

Good luck!
