ORC Administration acts on Panel’s order denying Bulletproof appeal

Toronto, ON — On August 30, 2013, the Ontario Racing Commission released a Ruling in the Matter of the Appeal of Jeffrey Brooks & Bulletproof Enterprises. The Panel denied the appeal.
The circumstances of the case, including the large number of horses and races involved, are unique. The ORC Administration is working diligently to address the Panel’s orders, in accordance with its authority under the Racing Commission Act, 2000.
The Administration is exploring an approach to address the practical matters of the orders regarding redistribution of funds, and will communicate relevant details and instruction to the industry as soon as possible.
The ORC is committed to the timely release of more information as it becomes available.
