Wilkes-Barre, PA — The seventh leg of the GSY Amateur Series took place at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Tuesday night (Sept. 3) under an overcast but nice September evening.

Speed was the name of the game for most of the evening and that’s exactly what Monica Banca did aboard Ruthless Ace for her second consecutive series win, which moved her into a second place tie in the series standings. The winning margin was a head in a fast 1:55.1 for these $5,000 claiming pacers.

Robert Hechkoff aboard Danger Sign N was second and Alan Charles finished third driving Donnie Bop.

The eighth and final leg will take place at Pennsylvania’s other east coast harness track, Harrah’s Philadelphia, next Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 11). The final will be held on at Freehold Raceway on Saturday (Sept. 21).
