Crediama took the 3rd and final division of NYSS for 2-year-old filly trotters Saturday night at Tioga Downs in 1:57.4.

Leaving from post position number four in a field of seven, Marohn put Crediama on the front-end and put up all the fractions of 29.1, 59, and 1:28 before turning for home. Deep in the stretch it looked as though Beauty Of Gray (Jim Meittinis) might collar the leader on the wire, but Crediama fought tough and survived a photo to score her maiden victory in 1:57.4. Trond Smedshammer trains the 2-year-old daughter of Credit Winner–Mama B for the Purple Haze Stable of Fairport, NY.

Other division winners included: Share My Secret (Jim Marohn Jr.) – 1:59.3 for Trond Smedshammer: Conway Hall–Lawn Tennis, and Annies List (Andy Miller) – 1:58 for Julie Miller: Conway Hall–Ann’s Promise.

Tioga also held four divisions of Excelsior stakes, winners included: Brookside Lily (Sean Bier) – 2:00.4, Caroline Street (Jim Meittinis) – 2:02, Trish (Cat Manzi) – 2:01.4, and Sweet Jesse T (Cat Manzi) – 2:00.

Aruba Vacation and Fern Paquet Jr. captured Saturday night’s $16,000 open handicap trot in 1:54.4 for trainer Guy Howard, and with the victory vaulted his career earnings to more than $500,000 for the homebred son of Dream Vacation–Dixie Hit.
