Manalapan, NJ — Rockin Amadeus, the Breeders Crown winner at two and the New Jersey Sire Stakes final champion at three, drew the rail in the $250,000 Anthony Abbatiello New Jersey Classic on Saturday (Aug. 3) at the Meadowlands.
The New Jersey Classic, which has a field of 11 3-year-old New Jersey-sired pacing colts and geldings, will be carded as race 13.
The filly companion event, the $125,000 Thomas D’Altrui Miss New Jersey, will be carded as the first race and offer no show wagering on its field of seven 3-year-old New Jersey-sired pacing fillies. The probable favorite is I Luv The Nitelife, the winner of six of seven starts this year, including the Fan Hanover, James Lynch and Mistletoe Shalee stakes. She drew post two.
