Racing concludes at Paulding, Ohio

Paulding, OH — Harness racing concluded at the Paulding County Fair at Paulding, Ohio, on Thursday night (June 13). The nine-race card consisted of four colt and filly stakes along with five overnight races.

Miko Begonia (Master Lavec-Shimma Begonia) took the 2-year-old colt trot in 2:14.3. Sherald Haynes trains and drives the gelding and co-owns him with his wife, Marian.

Midnight Dude (Downtown Dude-Midnight Jewel) paced a mile in 2:13 to capture the 2-year-old colt pace. Dale Decker is the gelding’s owner-trainer-driver.

Bill Webb’s Sam’s Silly Lilly (Nobleland Sam-Silly Lilly) captured the fastest split of the 3-year-old filly pace in 2:05.3. Webb also trains the filly with Greg Bateson picking up the winning drive. The other division went to Our Little Emmy (Stand Forever-Expensive Cammie) in 2:07.3. Tom Marts, Jr. trains and drives Our Little Emmy and co-owns her with his daughter, Angela Ott.

The 3-year-old filly trot went to Duchess Bella (Iron Duke-First Score). Dale Edwards drives the filly for owner John Cummings and trainer Kenneth Zornes. Duchess Bella toured the Paulding twice-around in 2:15.
