June 10, 2013,by Ellen Harvey, Harness Racing Communications
Freehold, NJ — What do the grandstand at Goshen Historic Track and Yosemite National Park have in common? Who were the two Goshen teenage girls that helped convince a president to visit the races? What Goshen-trained champion disappeared in the chaos at the end of World War II?
Find out the answers to these questions and more on a walking tour of the track, to be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 6 and 7.
The tours, which cover about a quarter-mile and 45 minutes, start 15 minutes after the races each day. Post time is 1 p.m.
There is an option for an additional quarter-mile and approximately 15 minutes at the end of the tour.
All ages are welcome.
There is no charge, but donations to Historic Track are welcome in lieu of a fee.
