Mr Picolit was a winner in Sunday’s Copenhagen Cup.

Mr Picolit (sired by Hambletonian winner Scarlet Knight) has developed into a top class trotter in the hands of Ake Svanstedt, who won this race for the third time.

Commander Crowe, the legendary 10-year-old Swedish trotter trained in France by Fabrice Souloy and with Ôrjan Kihlström in the bike, was favored to win and was a close second.

Commander Crowe, who had some problems earlier this year, looked much better than in Stockholm and fought bravely to finish second, while his stablemate, Quinoa du Gers driven by Jean Michel Bazire, took third.

Mr Picolit was timed in 1:55.2f (mile rate). The purse for the winner was $130,000.

For the first time ever, the Danish track hosted a V75 bet, which no less than 16 countries could bet into, and the total turnover was a new record of $8.3 million.
