Building Wealth scores 50th career win at Raceway Park

Toledo, OH — Building Wealth trotted home for his 50th career victory on Saturday (May 25) in Raceway Park’s fifth race.

The 13-year-old has 304 career starts, winning 50 times, and finishing second and third 40 and 38 times, respectively. Building Wealth (Wall Street Banker-Image Of Elegance) has earnings of $213,631 and a lifetime mark of 1:57.2 set at Pompano Park at age eight. The trotter has won on 20 different racing surfaces and his richest win was for a purse of $8,550 in a conditioned race at Dresden Raceway in 2007.

Building Wealth started from post three and made every pole a winning one, posting fractions of :29.3, 1:00, 1:30 and 2:01.2. He finished 4-1/4 lengths in front of his closest competitor, SF Scorpion (Bart Stimer), and returned $9.00 to win.

Mary Beth Stanley of Battle Creek, Mich., owns and trains Building Wealth. Stanley called upon Raceway Park’s leading driver, Mark Headworth, to steer her gelding to this milestone triumph.

Building Wealth was one of two winners on the night for Headworth.
