Lawrence Lee, 61, dies

Columbus, OH — Lawrence T. “Larry” Lee, 61, of Batavia, N.Y., died May 18, 2013, at Crossroads House.

He was born Jan. 6, 1952, in Batavia to Audrey M. (Warner) Lee of Batavia and the late Thomas K. Lee.

Mr. Lee was well known in the harness racing community, having owned, driven and trained horses for more than 20 years.

He also worked for 23 years with Community Action of Orleans & Genesee, helping people. He also enjoyed cooking and gardening, especially tending to his bushes.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Louise D. (Morgan); son, Steven (Alissa) and their son, Lincoln A.; daughter, Michelle; step-daughter, Roxanne (Philip) Munger and their children, Morgan and Nicholas; step-daughter, MaryEllen Mercer; sister, Diane (late Ronald) Stepp; brothers, Greg (Elsie) and Thomas K. (Cheryl); and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a son, Richard L.
