Marvin Sigler, 94, dies

Columbus, OH — Marvin Garnett Sigler, 94, of Mt. Jackson, Va., died May 12, 2013, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, in Harrisonburg.

Mr. Sigler was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Hamburg, Va., son of the late John William and Fannie Moore Sigler. He served in the United States Army during World War II in India.

Mr. Sigler was a retired Clerk of Shenandoah County Circuit Court. He was a member of the USTA and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Mt. Jackson.

He is survived by a son, Clemmitt; sisters, Glenna Zirkle, Jane Proctor and Reba Kozak; and a brother, Fred. Mr. Sigler was preceded in death by his wife, Frances; and a brother, Richard.

Funeral services will be Thursday (May 16) at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Mt. Jackson, Va., with Rev. Alexander MacPhail officiating. The family will receive friends following the service with a reception at the Mt. Jackson Town Center.
