Scarborough, ME — Post time for the Kentucky Derby card at Scarborough Downs is slated for 2 p.m. (EDT) on Saturday (May 4), culminating with the simulcast of the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby at 6:24 p.m.

Donations will be solicited from the wagering public during Saturday’s card to enhance the One Fund–Boston, a fund established to benefit the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Proceeds from the running of three divisions of Maine Amateur Driving Club events (races seven, eight and 10) will be donated to the fund. The first of these races will go to post at approximately 3:50 p.m.

A total of $1,900 has already been pledged to this effort from the Maine harness racing industry, including Scarborough Downs, the New England Harness Writers Association, the RACE ME PAC, the Maine Harness Horsemen’s Association and the Maine Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association.
